Courier Supervisor Required Immediately for Whitehorse

Main Duties

  • Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of a team of couriers engaged in the collecting, sorting and delivering of mail, parcels and other material
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with the delivery team
  • Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress and other reports
  • Train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
  • Requisition supplies and materials
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and equipment and arrange for maintenance and repair work
  • May perform the same duties as workers supervised

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of couriers and warehouse staff engaged in the collecting, sorting and delivering of parcels
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other work units
  • Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit reports to the manager
  • Train workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies
  • Ability to meet and maintain service requirements
  • Load and unload vehicle
  • Perform additional pick-ups and deliveries as required
  • Complete and submit accurate daily required documentation
  • Build positive relationships with both internal customers (managers, employees, dispatch, and other contractors) and external customers
  • Additional duties as required

Key Requirements

  • Possess a valid Driver’s Licence at all times – with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pick-up and deliver all packages associated to the route area or as required.
  • Complete a criminal record check and security screening
  • Must be able to lift 65lbs
  • Completion of secondary school is required
  • Several years of supervisory experience in a similar industry is a must

Hours of Work
Monday – Friday position with some Sundays during Peak Christmas Season.

Wages and Benefits
$31.53 / hour

Start Date
Successful applicants must be available to start training immediately.
